Aon/Marsh Risk Management Program for Educational Institutions
The association of Netherlands Municipalities (VNG) has put together a special framework agreement in collaboration with Aon Risk Management for primary and secondary educational institutions. The Risk Management Program for Educational Institutions was developed for this framework agreement and sent to all municipalities via the VNG.
The Risk Management Program contains detailed information on preventative measures and requirements regarding theft and fire prevention. A new version of the VNG/Marsh standard was published in January 2008, which again, naturally referred to SecuPlus products...
SecuMarker - permanent marking
Reference is made for example, to the SecuMarker...
'... Valuables should be marked clearly and permanently with the name of the school as well as postcode and house number. These markings should be unmistakable, indelible, in a prominent location and on a part of the valuable that cannot be removed easily. By marking products in this way, they become less attractive to thieves and can be recovered more easily.
The markings can also be made inside the device, such as inside a computer cabinet. If the exterior markings are removed, it might then still be possible to determine the original owner using the inside markings...'

SecuPlus anti-theft sets
Reference is made for example, to our anti-theft sets ...
'... Valuables that are not stored in a storage compartment for valuables after school hours should be secured using a theft-prevention device. Equipment can be secured using special devices that prevent the easy theft of these items. The theft-prevention device should be certified by the SKG with at least 1 star...'

Additional information
Through its extensive experience and good relations with national and international insurers SecuPlus is permitted to deviate from a quality mark when a situation so requires.

Take, for instance, a situation where a beamer is required to be secured with at least a steel cable security set. If this beamer is suspended from the ceiling, it is wiser (and thus permitted) to choose a BeamerLocker. This product is stronger and combines security with suspension.
